Education

Nadia Shabnam is an Assistant Professor of  Department of Law at University of  Information Technology and Sciences  (UITS) .  Prior joining  in UITS  at 2011, she was a faculty member of Millennium  University from January 2008 to December 2008 and  at State University of Bangladesh from January 2009 to December 2010. She completed  her  LL.B ( Honours) and LL.M from University of Dhaka in 2004 and 2005 respectively. She is a member of Bangladesh Bar Council  and Bangladesh Law Association and is also an practicing Advocate of Dhaka Bar Association from 2008. Curently she is pursuing her  Ph.D ( Doctor of Philosophy) research titled” Legal aid in Bangladesh:An examination of the adequacy  of legal regime” under the supervision of Professor Dr.Asif Nazrul at Department of Law, University of Dhaka .She has participated in different Law seminars   and workshops organized by Department of Law under University of Dhaka.

Extra Curicular Activites

She is currently involved with the question moderation committee of UITS, Department of Law. During her lectureship at SUB, she was the course coordinator of Dept. of Law and worked as a supervisor of research works of senior LL.B (Hon’s) students. She is a regular supervisor of the research works of LL.M students at UITS
