University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh was founded on 7 August 2003 as a non-profit organization. INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University of Information Technology & Sciences (UITS) hosted a meeting with NetCom Learning on March 24, 2025, at 1:30 PM in the UITS Conference Room, focusing on “Agent X: The AI Challenge 2025 – Powered by Microsoft. Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of UITS, presided as the Chief Guest, with Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer of UITS, attending as Special Guest. Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering; Engineer Md. Safaet Hossain, Director of IQAC; Mr. Al-Imtiaz, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of CSE; and Md. Tarikul Islam, Proctor of UITS, were also present.
The meeting commenced with an introduction to NetCom Learning Global Ltd., emphasizing its expertise and contributions to education and technology. Abdur Rahman Mamun, Head of Partnership; MD Imdadul Islam, Senior Business Manager of Business Development; and Md. Rafiqul Islam, Learning Consultant, from NetCom Learning Global Ltd., presented their initiatives and explored potential collaborative ventures with UITS. The primary agenda item was the “Agent X: The AI Challenge 2025 – Powered by Microsoft.” The competition’s objectives, structure, and significance were comprehensively presented. The meeting concluded with discussions on subsequent steps and strategies for UITS’s active participation and support of the initiative. Attendees expressed keen interest and acknowledged the competition’s potential to benefit students and the university.
