INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

The University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is delighted to announce the selection of Mehedi Hasan, a student from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) successfully passing a rigorous selection test, securing his spot as one of only 140 participants chosen from an initial pool of 3,000 applicants for the WordPress segment. Grameenphone Academy officially launched a new batch of its freelancing training program on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at GP House in Bashundhara, Dhaka. This initiative aims to skill 300 students in freelancing, reinforcing Grameenphone’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. During the event, it was announced that the selected students, chosen from nearly a thousand online applicants, will receive complimentary training in vital areas such as WordPress and Search Engine Optimization (SEO), among other key digital skills. Beyond core subject instruction, participants will benefit from hands-on mentorship in portfolio creation, client handling, and personal branding, crucial elements for success in the global freelancing market. Grameenphone Academy’s various courses are developed to adhere to international standards and curricula, and to date, over 71,000 students have received training and certification through its platform.
This collaborative effort, part of Grameenphone Academy’s “Freelancing Factory” program, partners with organizations like the Human Development Network Bangladesh (HDNB) to equip young individuals with highly sought-after digital skills, thereby addressing unemployment and bridging critical skills gaps in Bangladesh.
