INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University of Information Technology & Sciences (UITS) conducted a comprehensive meeting with the Faculty Quality Assurance Committee (FQAC) and Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC) on March 25, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM in the UITS Conference Room. The meeting focused on the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Course Outcome-Program Outcome (CO-PO) attainment, aiming to equip faculty and PSAC members with the necessary knowledge and skills to document and provide evidence for OBE components in accordance with University Grants Commission (UGC) and Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) guidelines.
Forty faculty members representing nine departments, along with FQAC and PSAC members from the Departments of English, Social Work, Law, Business Studies, Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Pharmacy, and Civil Engineering, participated in the session. Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of UITS, graced the event as the Chief Guest, and Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer of UITS, attended as Special Guest.
Engineer Md. Safaet Hossain, Director of IQAC, presided over the meeting and delivered an informative presentation on FQAC and PSAC responsibilities concerning Outcome-Based Education, the Bangladesh Accreditation Council Accreditation Process, and the Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF). Mr. Md. Hasan Imam, PSAC Chair, Department of Civil Engineering, presented on the OBE CO-PO attainment program. Shamima Akter, Additional Director of IQAC, served as the meeting’s anchor. Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Science & Engineering; Dr. Farooq Hossan, Dean of the Faculty of Business; Syeda Afsana Ferdousi, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences; Dr. Md. Nahidul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Department Heads; and PSAC members from the aforementioned departments were also present.
The meeting covered vital topics, including the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) Accreditation Manual 2024, BNQF, and OBE implementation for academic program accreditation. The session provided valuable knowledge and practical insights to enhance faculty teaching effectiveness and contribute to the university’s academic excellence for Outcome-Based Education.
