The University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), through its Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully hosted a pivotal workshop titled “AI Powered Impact Startups: Learn How to Build a Startup That Solves a Social or Environmental Problem” on Tuesday, 20th May, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:15 PM at the Ratnagarbha Tahmina Rahman Multipurpose Hall, brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and key figures from the “Accelerator Bangladesh” program. The workshop, a collaboration with “Accelerator Bangladesh,” a startup acceleration program under the Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem Development (DEIED) Project, aimed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship by connecting with the University Innovation HUB Program and Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority.

He further outlined effective strategies for developing and scaling AI-powered solutions, emphasizing the crucial role of Accelerating Bangladesh in fostering AI innovation through their supportive programs and initiatives.

Adding to the practical insights, Umme Kulsum, Founder & CEO of Instajob, shared her invaluable experiences in a session titled “Idea to Impact Journey of Instajob.” Her presentation provided a real-world perspective on transforming an initial concept into a successful and impactful venture. The workshop saw the participation of a distinguished team from Accelerating Bangladesh, including Md. Shariful Islam, Senior Program Coordinator; BM Banjir Ahmmed, Lead Business Coach; Prosun Bepari, Business Coach; and Shafikul Alam Saif, Business Coach, alongside other executives.
