INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University of Information Technology & Sciences (UITS) successfully organized a two-day seminar titled “Outcome-Based Education (OBE) & Excellence in Teaching and Learning (ETL)” on March 5th and 6th, 2025. The seminar, conducted in the University Conference Room, was designed to equip newly appointed faculty members with essential knowledge and skills to enhance their teaching practices. The two-day seminar was attended by twenty faculty members from the Departments of English, Law, Business Studies, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Pharmacy, and Civil Engineering. The event was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of UITS, as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, the Treasurer of UITS, also attended the seminar as a Special Guest. Engineer Md. Safaet Hossain, Director of IQAC, presided over the seminar and delivered an insightful presentation on Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Shamima Akter, Additional Director of IQAC and Assistant Professor of Marketing, Department of Business Studies, presented on Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF) and also served as the anchor of the seminar and Mr. Md. Hasan Imam, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering delivered an insightful presentation on Teaching and Learning Pedagogy. The seminar encompassed essential topics, including the principles of OBE, effective teaching methodologies, assessment strategies, and the application of the BNQF. Participants gained valuable insights and practical knowledge aimed at improving their teaching effectiveness and contributing to the advancement of academic excellence at UITS.
