A seminar titled “Planning and Design of an Elevated Corridor” organized by the CE Dept.

A seminar titled “Planning and Design of an Elevated Corridor: A Case Study Thuvakudi- BHEL- Palpannai Corridor, Trichy City, India” organized by the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), took place on Monday, February 19 at Ratnagarbha Tahmina Rahman Multipurpose Hall of UITS. The keynote speaker for the seminar was Mr. Nadimpalli Gopalakrishnam Raju, an experienced transportation specialist with thirty-two years of expertise in the Civil and Transportation Engineering sector.
Honorable Vice Chancellor of UITS Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hasan Bhuiyan was present as the chief guest. Treasurer of the University Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, and the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam were also present in the seminar.
The Head of the UITS Civil Engineering Department Assistant Professor Aysha Akter, Associate Professor Dr. Nur Mohammad Sumon, Advisor of Student Welfare of UITS Md. Tarikul Islam, Assistant Professor Md. Hasan Imam, Assistant Professor Maksuda Haque, Assistant Professor Md. Mohiuddin Ahmed, Assistant Professor Dipa Sarker, Lecturer Subrata Roy, Lecturer Abdul Wahab Sobuj, Lecturer Rizvan Ahmed Rafsan, Lecturer Afrad Ibn Harun, Lecturer Nafisa Anjum Rimi and Lecturer Hosneara Begum were also present at the seminar.
Mr. Nadimpalli Gopalakrishnam Raju, the keynote speaker, elaborated on the planning, design, socio-economic impact, environmental impact, and economic returns of the Elevated Corridor Project and gave a presentation for the students of the UITS Civil Engineering Department. He provided a detailed presentation on the subject.
Students from the Civil Engineering Department actively participated in this seminar.
