University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh was founded on 7 August 2003 as a non-profit organization. INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.
UITS added the latest education system to its curriculum to developing the knowledge and skills of the students as well as integrated human values in the education system. On 05 February 2020, one of the most Prominent, Youngest and Brilliant Bangladeshi who is working as a Software Engineer at Google, Mr. Zulkarnine Mahmud met the students of UITS for the first time at the Permanent campus of UITS. The Department of IT felt really fortunate to have him within his busy time schedule. Huge crowd including the Faculty members of the Department, enthusiastic students from various Departments of UITS were present in the session. At first, Mr. Zulkarnaine expresses his gratitude towards the Department of IT and especially to the Head of the Department of IT Mr. Md Al Shayokh for arranging such an open discussion with the young minds as well as exchanging views with them. He also discussed his work Life at Google, how actually any project is being handled and lots of other interesting facts too! At last, there was a question and answer session where enthusiastic fellows asked about different aspects of becoming a successful programmer, how to achieve any specific goals in life overcoming the obstacles, etc.
