CR Leadership & Skills Development Seminar 2025 Held at UITS

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) successfully organized the CR Leadership & Skills Development Seminar 2025 on Tuesday, April 29. The seminar took place at Room No. 618, commencing at 9:00 AM.

The purpose of the seminar was to equip Class Representatives (CRs) with the essential leadership, communication, and organizational skills necessary to effectively fulfill their responsibilities. The program aimed to empower CRs to act as a vital bridge between students and faculty, while also enhancing their ability to coordinate academic activities and represent their peers.

The event was graced by Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering, who attended as the Chief Guest. Associate Professor Mr. Al Imtiaz, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, joined as the Special Guest.

Among the faculty present were Md. Sultana Rokeya Naher (Assistant Professor), Md. Yousuf Ali (Lecturer), and Ratri Datta (Lecturer), reflecting strong departmental support for student leadership initiatives.

The seminar featured a keynote address by Mr. Mrinmoy Biswas Akash, Lecturer and Course Coordinator of the CSE Department, who highlighted the crucial role CRs play in academic communication and the importance of nurturing leadership at the student level.

The interactive and insightful sessions of the seminar were met with enthusiasm from participants, who left better prepared to take on leadership roles within the academic environment. The event marked another step in UITS’s commitment to fostering student engagement and academic excellence.
