University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh was founded on 7 August 2003 as a non-profit organization. INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan earned his Bachelor of Technology (2008) and Master of Technology (2010) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from KIIT University, India. He served as an Assistant Professor from 2010 to 2022 at several prestigious universities in India and Bangladesh. In 2024, he was a Visiting Researcher at Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic. He is currently nearing completion of his Doctor of Philosophy (2025) in Information and Communication Technology at NTNU, Norway. His research focuses on wireless communication systems, signal processing, machine learning, intelligent systems, sensor systems, and antenna engineering.

M. M. Hasan has been involved with several research projects and has several peer-reviewed international papers. His research area addresses the issues related to digital communications, wireless and mobile communications, multicarrier communication and multiuser access techniques, CDMA, OFDM, MIMO, coding/shaping/modulation, multiuser access techniques, cooperative communication, cognitive radio, wireless sensor networks, microstrip antenna. He is also passionate about statistical signal processing, audio, video, array, speech and image processing. He also acts as a reviewer for several international journals.
