[Website Department notice board] 2.              The CSE&IT department in collaboration with the EATL & Ministry held a workshop on android application development in the smartphone for local students. [Website Department notice board] 3.               Held Zero-one Festival as Department Head ·       The main idea of the event is to showcase the talent of students to the industry people and to the faculties of UITS. In those festivals, different workshops are generally held which are mainly led by industry and company people. PHD Thesis summary:

The thesis takes an approach with lattice-based browsing derived from formal concept analysis and hierarchical browsing with an adaptive topology in the lightweight ontology to form a conceptual space that aids enhanced search. The research compares both approaches and justifies the effects.

 

MS Project Summary: Design of a Laboratory information system with the implementation of workflow modeling tools created in C language

• Implemented Natural language based and Dialogue based personal conversational agent, Team member for the intelligent mobile agent mediator for the award winning ShopPlus system in South Korea. Java based lightweight mobile agent platform and library that eases the development of agent based applications which received grants from Korean airline.

• Worked with the team on Text categorization system based on WEKA Machine learning software.

বাংলাদেশে প্রতিষ্ঠিত প্রথম তথ্য ও প্রযুক্তিভিত্তিক বেসরকারী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ইউনিভার্সিটি অব ইনফরমেশন টেকনোলজি অ্যান্ড সায়েন্সেস (ইউআইটিএস)- এর সিএসই বিভাগের বিভাগীয় প্রধান সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ড. সুপ্রতীপ ঘোষ কে ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিংয়ে বেস্ট প্রফেসর হিসেবে ‘বাংলাদেশ এডুকেশন লিডারশীপ এওয়ার্ড’ প্রদান করেছে এশিয়ান কনফেডারেশন অব বিজনেস, যার স্ট্র্যাটেজিক পার্টনার সিএমও এশিয়া এবং রিসার্চ পার্টনার ছিল র্স্টাস অব দ্যা ইন্ডাষ্ট্রি গ্রুপ। বাংলাদেশের শীর্ষস্থানীয় ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠান পিএইচপি ফ্যামিলির প্রতিষ্ঠাতা আলহাজ্ব সুফি মোহাম্মদ মিজানুর রহমান অলাভজনক প্রতিষ্ঠান হিসেবে ২০০৩ সালের ৭ আগস্ট ইউআইটিএস প্রতিষ্ঠাতা করেন, যেখানে ডাটা সায়েন্স, মেশিন লার্নিং প্রযুক্তিতে কম্পিউটার বিজ্ঞানী হিসেবে খ্যাত ড. সুপ্রতীপ ঘোষ পাঠদান এবং গুরুত্বপূর্ণ গবেষণায় ভূমিকা পালন করে আসছেন। উল্লেখ্য যে, লোকহিতৈষী বিশ্বপ্রেমিক হিসেবে পরিচিত সুফি মিজানুর রহমান বাংলাদেশের শিক্ষাব্যবস্থার পৃষ্ঠপোষকদের মধ্যে অন্যতম।

সিঙ্গাপুর ভিত্তিক সংস্থা সিএমও এশিয়া উচ্চ মানের জ্ঞান বিনিময় কর্মসূচি প্রদান করে থাকে। অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থাকা মাননীয় আইসিটি প্রতিমন্ত্রী জুনাইদ আহমেদ পলক এমপি ল্যা মেরিডিয়ান রেস্টুরেন্ট ঢাকা তে বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে আগত গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিবর্গের উপস্থিতিতে ২০১৭ সালের ২৯ অক্টোবর পুরষ্কারটি প্রদান করেন। মন্ত্রি তাঁর বক্তৃতায় ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশের লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দ্যেশ্য বাস্তবায়নে আইসিটির উত্তরোত্তর কর্মসূচি ও পরিকল্পনার বিবরন অবহিত করেন। তিনি সিএমও এশিয়ার কর্মকর্তাদের ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপন করেন বাংলাদেশের গণ্যমান্য শিক্ষাবিদ এবং শিল্পপতিদের পুরস্কৃত করার জন্য। বাংলাদেশের শিক্ষাখাতে ‘দ্যা লিডারশীপ পুরষ্কার’ প্রদান করতে বিজয়ী নির্বাচন করা হয় ইতিহাস ও ব্যবস্থাপনায় স্নাতকোত্তর ডিগ্রিধারী পাঁচ বছরের গবেষণায় অভিজ্ঞতাসম্পন্ন গবেষকবৃন্দের ঐকান্তিক গবেষণা প্রক্রিয়ার মাধ্যমে এবং গবেষণাপত্র পর্যালোচনা করেন ‘দ্যা ইকোনমিক্স টাইম’ এর প্রাক্তন সিইও এবং ওয়ার্লড এইচ আর ডি কংগ্রেস এর চেয়ারম্যান ড. অরুন অরোরা এবং ওয়ার্লড সিএসআর ডে ও ওয়ার্লড সাসটেইনেবিলিটি’র প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ড. আর এল ভাটিয়া এর মত বিখ্যাত ব্যক্তিবর্গ।

এই পুরষ্কারটি বিভিন্ন বিভাগে পর্যবেক্ষনরত ব্যক্তিবর্গের জন্য সর্বোচ্চ মর্যাদাপূর্ণ পদক হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা হয় এবং শ্রেষ্ঠদের সম্মান জানাতে অনুকরণীয় আদর্শের নমুনা স্থাপন করতে ও আদর্শস্থানীয় নেতা তৈরির উদ্দেশ্যে সবকিছুকে অতিক্রম করে শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব অর্জনকারী ব্যক্তিবর্গ ও প্রতিষ্ঠান সমূহকে এই পুরষ্কার প্রদান করা হয়। বাংলাদেশের ভাবমূর্তি উজ্জ্বল করতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালনকারী অন্যান্য সরকারী ও বেসরকারী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য, উপ- উপাচার্য এবং প্রসিদ্ধ অধ্যাপক মন্ডলীদের সেইসাথে বিখ্যাত শিল্পপতি ও বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানকে প্রচার ও বিপননে শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব অর্জনের সম্মানে অতীতেও এই পুরষ্কার প্রদান করা হয়েছিল।
