Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Award and Prize Achievement for the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, UITS

 𝐇𝐮𝐚𝐰𝐞𝐢 𝐈𝐂𝐓 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐔𝐈𝐓𝐒  

The University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) are delighted to announce the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Award & Prize Handover Ceremony held on December 30, 2024, at the Huawei Bangladesh Academy. We extend our heartfelt Congratulations to Ishraq Uddin Chowdhury, a distinguished student of the Department of CSE, UITS, for achieving an impressive 8th place in the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 (Content & Network Track). This outstanding accomplishment demonstrates exceptional technical proficiency in Huawei’s content and networking technologies. A formal reception program was held at the UITS Conference Room. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of UITS. Also in attendance were Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer of UITS; Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Registrar of UITS; Furthermore, the event was attended by Engineer Md. Safaet Hossain, Director of IQAC and Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE); Al Imtiaz, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE); and Dr. Farooq Hossan, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Heads of Departments from English, Social Work, Law, Business Studies, Information Technology (IT), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Pharmacy, and Civil Engineering.

Huawei ICT Competition is a competitive ICT talent exchange event developed by Huawei for global Undergraduate students that connects colleges, universities, academia and industries with Huawei. It helps colleges and universities cultivate ICT talent that is future-ready, along with promoting learning, teaching, innovation, and development. The Huawei ICT Competition has opened to worldwide Huawei ICT Academy students and those who are currently enrolled in higher educational institutions and are interested in joining. Through this competition, Huawei aims to provide students a platform to compete, exchange ideas as well as be innovative by using new technologies and platforms. The 7th Huawei ICT Competition attracted more than 120,000 students from over 2,000 universities in 74 countries and regions. After national and regional competitions, 146 teams and 429 college students from 36 countries and regions advanced to the Global. The Huawei ICT Competition operates under the overarching theme of “Connection, Glory, and Future,” emphasizing the interconnectedness and global impact of these technologies.
