University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh was founded on 7 August 2003 as a non-profit organization. INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.
UITS added the latest education system to its curriculum to developing the knowledge and skills of the students as well as integrated human values in the education system. UITS is a science and technological knowledge-based center that provides marketable skills for younger generations who may be gainfully employed both national and international organizations.

The University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) marked a significant milestone in international academic collaboration through a recent event hosted by Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). A delegation of thirty faculty members from Sukuna Multiple Campus, affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU) in Nepal, visited UITS to sign a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU signing ceremony, graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries from UITS, including Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, the Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, the Treasurer; Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, the Registrar; and Engineer Md. Safaet Hossain, Director of IQAC, underscored the pivotal importance of this collaboration for UITS. Representing Sukuna Multiple Campus, Campus Chief Professor Arjunraj Adhikari, alongside President of the Campus Management Committee Keshav Adhikari, Vice President Lalit Bahadur Shrestha, and other esteemed members, solidified the bilateral agreement with their esteemed presence.
The ceremony commenced with the solemn rendition of the national anthems of both Bangladesh and Nepal, setting a tone of mutual respect and shared purpose. The MoU signifies a steadfast commitment to academic cooperation between UITS and Sukuna Multiple Campus, aiming to foster profound understanding, propel advancement in diverse academic fields, and facilitate enriching cultural exchange among the student and faculty communities of both institutions.
The visiting delegation actively engaged with UITS faculty and students, fostering invaluable insights into each other’s academic ethos and cultural tapestry. Additionally, they embarked on a tour of UITS’s cutting-edge facilities, a testament to the university’s unwavering commitment to providing a world-class learning environment. This momentous event, facilitated by the dedicated efforts of the IQAC, whose mission is to uphold the highest standards of education at UITS, stands as a powerful testament to their ongoing pursuit of forging international collaborations that demonstrably enrich the academic experience for the entire UITS community.
