University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh was founded on 7 August 2003 as a non-profit organization. INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.
UITS added the latest education system to its curriculum to developing the knowledge and skills of the students as well as integrated human values in the education system. Welcome to the Faculty of Law under the 1st IT-based Private University in Bangladesh, i.e., the University of Information Technology Sciences (UITS) which was founded in 2003 by the recipient of Ekhushey Padak, 2020, founder Chairman of PHP Family, renowned Industrialist, religious leader, a man of wisdom, philosopher and philanthropist Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman who always boldly says as to the best formula of one’s success in life that “ Divine blessings mixed with hard work backed by good intentions make miracles.” At this time the Faculty of Law of UITS is indeed a perfect place for those law students who wish and be worthy to make a change in the intellectual and realistic locations of law. Currently, we have full-time academics having outstanding academic records, expertise, and experience in different aspects and areas of law.
We know that law is a practical-oriented subject that demands an objective and material introduction and projection of technical details. As a team, we accept as true that the Faculty of Law of UITS is committed to building a vivacious generation in the legal field with significant, humanistic and pragmatic thoughts. We wish that the graduates of this Faculty with their skills, moral principles and ideals work for making society with justice and parity. It is pertinent to mention here that an effective and well-functioning international standard Moot Court has been running under the close monitoring of the Faculty of Law of UITS.
It is worth mentioning that the Faculty of Law is now scheduling to expand its wings in furtherance of its obligation to afford global standard legal education. Besides, the Faculty of Law will immediately open an Internship office, a research Desk and an E-Library. Furthermore, the Faculty of Law organizes seminars and conferences regularly.
We do strongly think that the graduates of this Faculty will become great in the legal arena after successful completion of their graduation. It is also noted here that a great bulk of law graduates of this Faculty have been playing a vital role in the legal field at domestic and international levels.
I look forward to that the Faculty of Law of UITS in its passage through the ongoing century shall step by step achieve the rank of one of the best law schools in the world.
