1. After having M.A. in Economics I taught Economics in some colleges for nearly 5(five) years.
2. After taking LL.B. degree and thereby being enrolled in the Bangladesh Bar Council in 1980, I engaged myself in Legal practice under the membership of Rajshahi Advocate Bar Association for nearly 05 (five) years.
3. Joined the Department of Law at the University of Rajshahi as a Lecturer on 23 May 1989 and served in this position until 21 May 1992.
4.Promoted to Assistant Professor on 22 May 1992 and continued in this role until 30 October 1997.
5. Became Associate Professor on 31 October 1997 and served in that capacity until 29 June 2003.
6. Finally promoted to Professor of Law on 30 June 2003, in accordance with the Service Rules and the Act of the University of Rajshahi, and continued until retirement.
7. Elected Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Rajshahi, on 23 January 1999 for a two-year term.
8. Statutorily became Chairman of the Department of Law and Justice, University of Rajshahi on 02 October 2005 for 03 (three) years term.
9. Had to discharge the responsibility of the Provost of Syed Ameer Ali Hall, University of Rajshahi on 10 May 2003 for 03 (three) years’ term.
10. Used to discharge responsibility as one of the members of Editorial Board of Rajshahi University Studies Journal from 2005 to 2013.
11. Had to discharge responsibility as the Treasurer of Rajshahi University Law Association, Department of Law and Justice, R.U. from 1992 to 2005.
12. During my service period of Rajshahi University, I worked as the Dean and Chairman of the Department of Law of Daffodil International University, Dhaka for a short period from 01 August 2011 to 30 September 2011 enjoying Lien Leave.
13. From the very day of going on PRL from University of Rajshahi, joined as Dean, Faculty of Law of Green University of Bangladesh on 01.07.2012 and continued till 01.07.2013.
14. Immediately after one year I joined as Dean and Chairman of Department of Law, Prime University on 01 July 2013 and continued there till 01 July 2014.
15. Before going on PRL, I used to take classes of ASPs in Sardah Police Academy on courses of M. P. Sc. (Master of Police Science).
16. Later, I joined as Professor and Dean of the School of Law at Metropolitan University, Sylhet, on 25 January 2015 and served in this capacity until 30 October 2019.
17. Continued to serve at Metropolitan University, Sylhet, until the outbreak of COVID-19, when educational institutions were shut down.
18. From 2003, I used to take classes as part timer in different private universities (Southeast University, Asia Pacific University, BUBT, UITS Rajshahi and Prime University) while I was actively teaching in Rajshahi University.
19. During my service at Rajshahi University, I worked in many enquiry committees either as the convener or as the member.
20. Joined as Professor in the Department of Law at University of Information Technology & Sciences on 23rd April, 2025.
21. Joined as Dean in the Faculty of Law at University of Information Technology & Sciences on 30th April, 2025 and onwards.
22. Regularly reviewing Articles and Books both nationally and internationally.
1. Ph. D. Degrees of about 25 Fellows have been awarded under my direct supervision.
2. M. Phil Degrees of five Fellows have been awarded under my direct supervision.
3. I have examined nearly more than thirty Ph. D. theses of which at least 5 were of overseas and still I am examining theses at home and abroad.

• Used to work as the subject expert and expert member of the selection board constituted for the appointment of Lecturer, Asst. Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the departments of Law at Rajshahi University, Chittagong University and Islamic University, Kushtia.
