MD AL SHAYOKH, is currently working as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Information Technology (IT) of UITS. Before joining to UITS, he was an IT Specialist of a startup named MaestroSoft Limited in Dhaka, Bangladesh. With a vision to introduce the advance technology of 21st century to Digital Bangladesh, he is playing an important role in UITS. Moreover, he also served Presidency University as an Adjunct Faculty for fall 2017 semester and supervised thesis for the department of ECE of BRAC University. Prior to his current position, Mr. Shayokh also worked as an R&D engineer at WENS (Wireless Emerging Networking Systems) lab, Gumi, South Korea. In addition to his professional role, he also worked as a Business Analyst for an IT based company named Honesty Software that is in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also worked as intern engineer for three leading companies of Turkey (Genpa Telecommunication, Forma Makina and Istanbul Ulasim A.S). As an intern engineer at Istanbul Ulasim A.S, he worked in the LRV (Light Railway Vehicle System) Department. In his professional career, Mr. Shayokh traveled several countries around the globe and worked with different nationalities and recent technologies like 5G, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things etc.


Mr. Shayokh received his M.Sc. in IT Convergence Engineering in 2016 from South Korea and B.Sc. in ECE in 2013 from Turkey. He is fluent in several languages like Turkish, English, Hindi and German. Mr. Shayokh has more than 17 publications in renowned conferences and Peer reviewed Journals that are indexed by Springer, Elsevier and IEEE. He is also serving as reviewer for renowned journals like IEEE Sensors, Computer networks (Elsevier), Arabian Journal of Geosciences (Springer) etc. Besides, he also filed a patent in South Korea on Bio inspired drone reconnaissance based on penguins hunting strategy. As a competent candidate, he also established himself in academic area from his early academic career. He received scholarship for outstanding result both in SSC and HSC from Bangladesh Government. In addition, he also received Turkish Government scholarship in 2009 and Kumoh National Institute of Technology Research Scholarship ($30000 USD) in 2014 for Higher Studies.


As a professional, Mr. Shayokh successfully completed several advanced project both in national and international boundaries. Some of his work includes BK21 (Brain of Korea), Wi-Fi Surveillance system for Korean Military, Wireless capsule endoscope system etc. Apart from that, he also worked for BTK (Turkish Telecommunication Regulatory Corporation). He was a member of the Technical Committee (reviewer) for SNSP (Sensor Networks and Signal Processing) 2018 conference. Apart from that, Mr. Shayokh, as an energetic individual, closely related with several organization like ORCA (Old Rajshahi Cadets Association), STUAB (Society for Turkish Universities Alumni in Bangladesh), BSAK (Bangladeshi Students Association in Korea) etc. He is the founding committee member and present Executive Director of STUAB.
