Seminar on โ€œEngaging Students in Financial Inclusion Activitiesโ€ Held at UITS

As part of the vibrant Business Carnival organized by the Department of Business Studies, a seminar titled โ€œEngaging Students in Financial Inclusion Activitiesโ€ was successfully held. The event aimed to enlighten students on the importance of financial inclusion and to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world banking practices.

The seminar was graced by two esteemed guest speakers from Global Islami Bank PLC โ€“ Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed Siddiqui, Senior Vice President & Head of the Marketing Division, and Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam, Assistant Vice President & Branch Manager. Their insightful presentations covered a wide range of topics, including financial inclusion, the scope of banking services, and the key differences between Conventional Banking and Islamic Banking systems.

The event was further enriched by the presence and valuable speeches of Dr. Farooq Hossan, Honorable Dean of the Business Studies Department, and Dr. Md. Mahadi Hasan, the respected Head of the Department.

The audience, comprised mainly of enthusiastic students, actively engaged with the speakers and gained practical knowledge about the inclusive nature of modern banking systems and the various services they offer.

Faculty members Md. Serajum Monir, Lecturer, and Md. Al Mamun Shadin, Lecturer, were also present and supported the smooth coordination of the event.

The seminar was anchored by Md. Mahadi Hasan, Lecturer, whose presence ensured the event remained engaging and informative throughout.
