University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh was founded on 7 August 2003 as a non-profit organization. INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.
UITS added the latest education system to its curriculum to developing the knowledge and skills of the students as well as integrated human values in the education system. Dhaka Cyber Arena: The electrifying Cyber Crawler Capture the Flag Contest, a highlight of ITVerse2023, saw a digital showdown like no other at the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), University of Dhaka. Co-hosted by the formidable Knight Squad, the event on November 2nd was a spectacle of strategic cyber combat.

The Results: Team R3D KN1GH7 emerged as the cyber gladiators of the day, seizing 3rd place with a whopping 3365 points and bagging a 10,000 BDT reward presented by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University, Prof. Dr. A.S.M. MAKSUD KAMAL, amidst applause from Md Shamsul Arefin, Secretary of the Ministry of ICT.
Not to be outshone, SHADOWSTROME_SYNDICATE claimed the 24th spot with a commendable 2125 points. The tenacious 77Rangers locked in the 30th position with 1660 points, and The_Musketeers fought valiantly to secure the 62nd position with 390 points.
With around 87 teams and over 350 hackers in the fray, the UITS squads’ strategic acumen and cybersecurity skills have set a benchmark, bringing honor to the UITS and its CSE department.
