INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

The Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) held a workshop on May 27, 2024, to discuss implementing a Blended Education System in universities nationwide. This approach aims to modernize higher education by incorporating practical and action-oriented learning.
The workshop featured distinguished guests, including Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, the Honorable Vice Chancellor of UITS, alongside Vice-Chancellors and Treasurers from 22 private universities within the Dhaka region. Professor Dr. Md. Sajjad Hossain, a UGC member, presided over the workshop. In his opening address, he emphasized the critical need to develop a national “master plan for blended education” to facilitate a successful nationwide rollout. Collaboration from all stakeholders was identified as essential for effective adoption at the university level. Professor Dr. Hasina Khan, a UGC member leading the initiative, addressed the workshop participants. She elaborated on ongoing efforts to align the proposed blended education system with the government’s development plan. The workshop further benefited from presentations by subject matter experts. Professor Muhaimin As Saqib presented on the “Blended Education Master Plan in Higher Education,” while Mohammad Taurit, CEO of Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BDREN), addressed “Blended Learning Roadmap: Cost Modeling and Estimation.” This workshop signifies a significant step towards the adoption of a Blended Education System within Bangladeshi universities.
