INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

The Cyber Security and Networking Wing of the UITS Computer Club, supervised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, organized a workshop titled “Getting Started with Bug Bounties.” This event, held in collaboration with Bug Bounty Community Bangladesh, took place at the Tahmina Rahman Multipurpose Hall, University of Information Technology & Sciences – UITS at 3:00 PM on April 30th, 2024.
During the workshop, the esteemed Vice Chancellor of the University of Information Technology and Sciences, Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam, shared their insights on Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking. They extended a warm welcome to all the guests.
The keynote speaker, Mehedi Hasan Remon, Brand Ambassador of HackerOne and a Senior Security Engineer at Red Sentry, outlined how to start in bug bounties and shared his personal experiences in the field. He also responded to several questions from the students. Syed Mushfik Hasan Tahsin, Administrator of Bug Bounty Community Bangladesh and Co-founder of PentesterVibe, announced an upcoming bug hunt event. Dihan Islam Olif, Advisor to Bug Bounty Community Bangladesh and Operations Manager at TheTeamPhoenix, awarded premium PentesterLab coupons to three enthusiastic students and distributed swaggers to everyone.
The event concluded with a closing speech by the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Assistant Professor Mr. Al-Imtiaz, who encouraged students to pursue their passion in the field.
Following the event, the Department of CSE awarded an honorarium to the Bug Bounty Community Bangladesh and held a brief meeting to discuss future collaborations between the organizations.
