INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

The University of Information Technology & Sciences (UITS) Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) successfully conducted a workshop on “ATF Subproject Project Proposal of the HEAT Project” on January 26, 2025 . The workshop, held in the UITS Conference Room, provided faculty members with essential guidelines for crafting competitive proposals for the HEAT Project’s Academic Transformation Fund (ATF), which supports teaching and learning, research, and innovation in higher education institutions.
Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of UITS, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests included Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer of UITS; Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Registrar of UITS;
Engineer Md. Safaet Hossain, Director of IQAC, presided over the workshop and provided a comprehensive overview of the ATF sub-project proposal writing process. He emphasized the importance of developing impactful proposals that align with the project’s objectives. Ms. Shamima Akter, Additional Director of IQAC, served as the anchor for the workshop. Other distinguished participants included Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering; Dr. Farooq Hossan, Dean of the Faculty of Business; Syeda Afsana Ferdousi, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; Dr. Md. Nahidul Islam, Dean (Acting) of the Faculty of LAW; Head of Department from Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology(IT), Civil Engineering (CE),EEE,Pharmacy,Business Studies, English, Law, Social Science Department; and 100 faculty members participated in this insightful session.The interactive session facilitated active participation from faculty members. An open Q&A segment at the conclusion of the workshop allowed participants to address their inquiries directly. Participants expressed their appreciation for the valuable insights gained from the workshop, recognizing its significance in enhancing academic excellence at UITS.
