University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh was founded on 7 August 2003 as a non-profit organization. INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

Program Objectives
During the last few decades, the global business environment changed more than ever before. Globalization, increasing competition, technological advancement, service orientation and multicultural workplace made the business environment more complex. As a result, there has been a major change in the nature of managerial skills required to take up the challenge of today’s business. To cope with ever changing environment and intense global competition, enterprises increasingly need competent, efficient and effective executives. MBA program of UITS aims at providing need based excellent business education for preparing graduates for jobs, executives and managers to be competent, efficient and effective to meet increased need of the national and international businesses. The Executive MBA program of UITS also offers extended and excellent facilities for Business education in Bangladesh. Duration of the Program
2 Year MBA Program
The duration of the MBA Program is two (2) years and four (4) months, which is divided into four (04) Semesters. Each Semester will be of eighteen (18) weeks of which fifteen (15) are for class room teaching, two (2) weeks for conducting final term examination and one (1) week for preparation leave (PL).
Each course is of three (3) credit hours and for each course there will be two (2) lectures per week of one hour and thirty minutes duration.
There will be (15 weeks x 2) 30 classes in a credit course of (1.5 hour x 30) 45 credit hours.
A student must complete the program in a maximum of six (6) academic years.
Total duration of the program may be relaxed for credit transfer students and for students in special case.
1.5 Year EMBA Program
The duration of the MBA Program is 1.5 years and four (4) months, which is divided into four (03) Semesters. Each Semester will be of eighteen (18) weeks of which fifteen (15) are for class room teaching, two (2) weeks for conducting final term examination and one (1) week for preparation leave (PL).
(d)A student must complete the program in a maximum of six (6) academic years.
(e)Total duration of the program may be relaxed for credit transfer students and for students in special case.
1 year MBA Program (Regular)
The duration of the MBA Program is one (one) year and three (3) months, which is divided into two (02) Semesters. Each Semester will be of eighteen (18) weeks of which fifteen (15) are for class room teaching, two (2) weeks for conducting final term examination and one (1) week for preparation leave (PL).
A student must complete the program in a maximum of three (3) academic years.

Admission Requirements
According to the rules of UGC, graduation in any discipline must be achieved by the candidates. At least second class in all exams or a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4-point scale should be obtained.
1.5 year EMBA Program :
Minimum 2 years of working experience as an executive in any recognized organization.
1 Year MBA Program(Regular)
According to the rules of UGC, a four (4) year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) must be achieved by the candidates. At least second class in all exams or a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4-point scale should be obtained.
Academic Year and Semester System
