University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh was founded on 7 August 2003 as a non-profit organization. INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

University of Information Technology & Sciences (UITS) had a unique day on August 28, 2023 when a session named “Meet the Maestro” took place at Ratnagarva Tahmina Rahman Multipurpose Hall with the presence of the students of the Department of Business Studies. Honorable Founding Chairman of KAM HAN Industrial Ltd. in Hong Kong, K.C. Chhajer was the Chief Guest of this special seminar. Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman, Honarable Chairman of BoT, UITS and PHP Family, delighted the seminar with his gracious participation. Honorable Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan; Honorable Treasurer, Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed; Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Business, Dr. Farooq Hossan and Head of the Department of Business Studies, Dr. Md. Mahadi Hasan, were present at the session. The seminar was held with the aim of enhancing and broadening the knowledge of the students about business and entrepreneurship.
Honorable Chief Guest of the program shared his valuable thoughts on doing business. He said to all the students, “Loss doesnât mean failure, Profit doesnât mean success. Success is to be honest while doing business. Making the customer happy and building long-term relationships with them is the key to success.â The main attraction of the discussion was Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman and his solicitous discussion. He described in details, using the examples of his own experience, how the desire to be a good person should be developed into the desire to be an ideal student. Additionally, He advised the students to behave responsibly and with loyalty towards the group to which they belong. With the words, “If your heart is in your dream, no desire is too extreme,” Honorable Chairman Sir concluded his speech. Students of the Department of Business Studies came out with a heart full of enthusiasm and motivation about their lives from the seminar.
