University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh was founded on 7 August 2003 as a non-profit organization. INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION LTD. (ISTS), a concern of PHP group headed by Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is the sponsor of UITS.

The Seminar in Higher Study is an excellent opportunity for students to further develop critical skills to help them to be successful in their academic program. Thus, to make the journey easier for the aspirants and to let our students know about the scholarship process Department of Information Technology, UITS has organized a âSeminar on Higher Study in Chinaâ.
Md Al Shayokh (Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Information Technology) commenced the seminar with a few words of knowledge and encouraged the students for higher studies. Honorable Professor Dr. Md. Mazharul Hoque (Dean, SSE, UITS) and Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam (Advisor of Student Welfare, UITS) were present on this event and share glimpse of knowledge regarding the opportunities of studying abroad. Following two guest speaker Mr. Saiaf Bin Raihan (Doctoral Researcher, Northwestern Polytechnical University) and Mr. MD Mehedi Hasan Tuser (B.Sc, M.Sc, Northwestern Polytechnical University) guided the enthusiasts with techniques to apply for the higher studies in China. They also share valuable knowledge about how students can build and prepare themselves for going abroad. There was another special speaker Mr. Mehedi Hasan Faruque (Head of HR, Bengal Meat) who expressed his gratitude towards the Department as well as shared his personal experience on hiring new recruits and provided some tips how to be ahead of anyone during any recruitment process. As from the discussion with our Honorable guests, the Department of IT, UITS ensured to engage in some collaborative research work with the Northwestern Polytechnical University about futuristic drone assembling as the university has 6 giant drone companies of the world.
At the end of the seminar, both of the guest speakers expressed their heartiest gratitude towards the Department of IT and UITS for organizing such a prospective seminar.
